The United Covenant Union was essentially born when Mr. Elijah McGuire-Berk and Mr. Matthew Munk began organizing the housekeepers at Washington College. Many of these women cleaned homes for cash, in addition to their job. After connecting these families with Rev. Bobby Brown, UCU's first congregational union was born
